Youth Program applications will open in the Spring 2026.

​Our Educational Development programs equip youth with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Through innovative teaching methods and a commitment to excellence, we create nurturing environments that foster growth and inspire lifelong learning.

Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy

 

Serves African American girls ages 11–14 by promoting academic excellence and addressing educational and social development needs, with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS


Serves African American young women ages 14–18, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and personal growth. GEMS—Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully—develops confident, respectful leaders prepared to take active roles in their education and communities.

PROJECT DELTAA READ-INS

Supports elementary students in the Columbus area by enhancing reading skills through monthly read-aloud sessions in schools. Additionally, students receive a book and a snack to encourage early literacy and a love of reading. DELTAA stands for Deltas Enriching Lives Through Academic Achievement.

RISK MANAGEMENT

If you would like to volunteer with our youth initiatives, you must be Risk Management trained and complete a background screening.  To apply to volunteer, please email the Risk Management Committee.
